Over the coming weeks we’re going to be launching two newsletters: one on youth detention and the other on out-of-home care (OOHC), These will be published on LinkedIn, and also appear below. Both will be supported by a quarterly webinar, and focus on Australia and New Zealand. The youth detention newsletter will launch mid June, with a related webinar on Tuesday 24th June 2025 11am AEST | 1pm NZT, titled Rethinking the Purpose of Youth Detention: Getting It Right for Children and Systems. You can register for this webinar at https://us02web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_5adGbFBnTCqpNgMQvU5fkw The OOHC newsletter will be launched later (to be announced), with the first of these webinars the following month.

Below we also have 77 blog posts from July 2019 to August 2022, spanning a range of topics relating to foster care, residential care, detention centres, and transitioning from care. While some were topical, most would still be relevant today.
